Aside from Vitality’s reign, the remainder of the CS2 scene in 2025 has been nothing short of unpredictable. There are roster transfers here and there, and you never know who’s coming back to the scene. As we approach the PGL Austin Major, let’s take a look at the best CS2 teams at the moment, helpful for your CS2 betting.
10. G2 Esports

G2 Esports is facing a period of major upheaval. Their once-star-studded roster has been picked apart, first losing NiKo, and now m0NESY. With the duo departing from the team, G2 Esports has been in an apparent decline and has understandably struggled to maintain the same level of performance.
In response to the recent slump, G2 Esports is reportedly looking to bring in SunPayus and coach sAw from Heroic, a move that could add the firepower and strategic depth the team lacks. Coming into the PGL Austin Major, the new iteration of G2 is going to be a big question mark.
9. Team Liquid

Team Liquid is revamping its identity with the recent addition of siuhy as in-game leader. With siuhy taking on the helm, Twistzz is now free to return to a more comfortable fragging role, which suits him best.
However, some team such as NAF and ultimate’s inconsistencies have remained a lingering issue. That said, we could see siuhy change the entire structure of the team, and if things click, Liquid could evolve into a serious contender in the next few CS2 tournaments.
8. FaZe Clan

FaZe Clan is currently in a state of transition, facing real challenges after losing ropz, a key piece of their previous success, and bringing in EliGE. While EliGE is no slouch and is easily one of the best riflers in the world, the team has been visibly struggling to find chemistry and consistency with the new starting five.
After several disappointing finishes in a row, FaZe Clan made the tough call to bench broky and bring in s1mple. Though FaZe Clan have acquired the greatest player of all time, this roster move adds even more volatility into the mix – a massive gamble that could make or break the lineup. Despite the instability, FaZe is still FaZe. They could pop off unexpectedly, as evidenced by their strong run at the Shanghai Major.
7. Natus Vincere

After winning the Copenhagen Major in 2024, NAVI came into 2025 with relatively high expectations, but their recent form has fallen short. The team is struggling to maintain consistency, with one of the most concerning developments being the dip in form from jL, their standout performance last year.
That said, the roster is stacked with experience and always remains a dangerous team capable of turning things around when it matters most. NAVI could very well surprise in the PGL Austin Major, or they might be one roster change away to reignite their glory.
6. Aurora

Formerly known as Eternal Fire, Aurora has been on the rise, showing signs of becoming a strong competitor in the current CS2 scene. XANTARES continues to play some of the best Counter-Strike of his career, consistently putting up big numbers and leading by example.
Though Aurora typically performs well in Group Stages, they have been struggling to find their footing in Playoff matches, often dropping out of tournaments after losing big matches. They’ve earned a bit of a reputation as “group stage merchants”. If they figure things out and translate that early momentum into deeper bracket runs, they could be a threatening force in the near future.
5. The MongolZ

The MongolZ have been one of the most exciting breakout stories in CS2 over the past year, putting their entire region on their backs. They’ve shown remarkable improvement and a fearless play style. When these players are on a good day, expect some of the crispiest aims in the scene.
Their core trio of 910, Sensu, and mzinho brings explosive firepower. Despite their impressive rise to Tier 1, this young team has struggled to convert strong Group Stage performances into deep Playoff runs. This failure to show up in big-stage games seems primarily due to the inexperience of the roster, leading to stage nerves. If The MongolZ can overcome their playoff jitters, they certainly have the potential to become a serious title contender in the future.
4. Team Spirit

Team Spirit remains a powerhouse in the scene, having won the Shanghai Major to close a successful 2024 season. However, the team’s form has slightly dipped in recent months, with inconsistency creeping into their performances. They’ve chosen to skip numerous events to prioritize player rest and long-term performances, which contributes to their current lack of results.
Still, Team Spirit has the presence of donk and sh1ro, two players capable of taking over any game and carrying the team when needed. We will definitely see Spirit lift a trophy or two throughout the year.
3. MOUZ

The young roster of MOUZ has established themselves as one of the most dangerous teams in the current CS2 scene. They have proven their ability to go toe-to-toe with the best, having defeated every top-tier opponent, including Team Spirit, with their only recent losses coming at the hands of Vitality and Falcons.
Since integrating Spinx into the roster, MOUZ has consistently made deep runs at every event they participated in, reaching the Grand Finals at several events. With Brollan now stepping into the in-game leader role, the team is entering a period of potential growth. With such firepower on the team, the sky’s the limit.
2. Team Falcons
The talk of the town, Team Falcons, had just signed m0NESY in a blockbuster move. Regarded as one of the best CS2 players in the world, the Russian sniper has been reunited with NiKo, a long-time friend and favorite teammate.
The team is currently on an upward trajectory, showing clear potential with one of the scariest duos in the scene. While the firepower is there, it may take some time for the Falcons to translate that into consistent tournament wins. Additionally, the team is expecting further roster changes on the horizon, so the Falcons remain a work in progress. Though they are dangerous, they will need a bit of refining to start lifting trophies over the current world number one.
1. Team Vitality

Since the addition of ropz to the roster, Vitality has seen an immediate and significant uptick in performance. A candidate for being one of the best transfers of all time, Vitality quickly mounted win after win with their newest recruit, recently accomplishing the Intel Grand Slam.
At the time of writing, Vitality is riding an impressive 21-match win streak, which is close to beating Team Liquid’s streak of 23 matches in 2021. With ZywOo looking like the best player in the world, Vitality looks unstoppable and is undoubtedly the most in-form team in the world right now.
